Set-up and operate multiple machines as required. Change dies using a hoist and walkie lift truck with a roller attachment. Rotate on a daily basis among 2 or 3 stations. Diagnose machine or tooling problems and make corrective adjustments. Inspect parts per print specifications. Help train and assist new operators. Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown’s safety rules and regulations for each task performed. To prevent the risk of injury, report unsafe conditions and do not perform unsafe acts. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Read blueprints
  • Understand basic math
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Per 8 hr. shift (stand 6 hrs., walk 1 hr., sit 1 hrs.), may stand 7 hrs a shift occasionally, frequently (bend, reach above shoulder level, push/pull), occasionally (squat, work with arm outstretched, torque, climb, reach below knee level, kneel). Infrequently work above chest level. Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 50 lbs.). Must be able to see and do simple and firm grasping with both hands.
  • Must be able to work in a noisy environment that includes exposure to dust, shavings, solvents, grease, and oil.
  • Must use foot to operate foot pedal.
  • Must be able to safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.
