Job Description Summary Operates power-driven presses to stamp or perform other shaping operations. Operates machines until accurate production has been achieved.

Requirements

Knowledge of metal stamping, a plus.
Ability to use calipers and micrometers.
Computer literate
Company certification on fork lift
Ability to read and interpret job orders and blueprints.
Ability to comprehend and apply common sense understanding simple, oral and written instructions in the English command.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Problem Solving Skills
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Handling of raw material to load/unload, start new coils.
Ensure quality conformance on all presses by filling out operator inspection sheets.
Read and understand blueprints and work instructions.
Needs to complete daily logs and report production in ERP system.
Use of inspection tools in checking parts.
Communicate with supervisor to aid in production and quality.
Functionality of press (Jog, run, stop)
Keeping presses running thru out day in a safe manner to both the die and operator
Maintain the department/work area clean and organized.
Follow ISO/IATF, safety, and environmental procedures as well as department and corporate policies and procedures.
Stop/report production if quality is not to standards and report to shift supervisor.
