Scope of Position : The Punch Operator on the Vinyl Line is to operate a punch press to punch holes in pre-cut window sills and jams. The Punch Operator will be responsible for gathering the sills and jams and will place them in the punch press correctly according to the side of the frame. Quality control paperwork will be filled out daily to ensure the highest level of productivity is achieved while maintaining quality specifications. Compliance with all safety programs is required.

Requirements

• Experience in a production role or a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Possess the ability and desire to cross-train into other job functions, if needed.
• Displays positive attitude and confidence.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Accepts and implements coaching and advice from leaders and management.
• Must be able to accurately read a tape measurer.
• Able to function in a fast paced environment.
• Able to push, pull, bend, and lift at least 25lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Other Physical duties, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Reading work orders and punching various window sills and jams to specification.
• Maintaining steady flow by partnering with Saw Operators and Welder Operators.
• Working with the Production Manager, Area Coordinator and Team Leader to ensure manufacturing and quality performance standards are maintained.
• Cross-training in production duties.
• Completing and mastering the job with the highest level of safety and accuracy.
• Listening and applying feedback from management to produce quality products.
• Other tasks, as assigned.
