About The Position

The Pumping Operator is a critical field-based role responsible for the safe removal, transport, and disposal of non-hazardous liquid waste, including used cooking oil and grease trap buildup from commercial and industrial facilities. This role involves operating specialized pumping equipment and vacuum trucks, servicing grease traps on-site, and ensuring all work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform light equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL endorsement a plus (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures
  • Strong attention to safety, compliance, and quality of work
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting hoses and equipment
  • Professional communication skills when interacting with customers and internal teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating vacuum trucks, pumps, or grease trap service equipment (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Operate vacuum and power-driven pumping equipment to remove grease, used cooking oil, and grease trap material.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform light repairs on pumps, hoses, valves, and related equipment.
  • Set up systems before service and properly clean and flush pumps and hoses after each job.
  • Drive specialized vacuum or pump trucks to and from customer locations (CDL with Tanker endorsement may be required).
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, service records, quantities pumped, disposal locations, and vehicle inspection reports.
  • Complete and submit service paperwork, quotes, and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all company policies, FMCSA, DOT, and environmental regulations.
  • Inspect grease traps and surrounding areas for damage, leaks, or safety hazards and report issues as needed.
  • Follow strict safety protocols, including proper use of PPE such as gloves, eye protection, and other required gear.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times.
