About The Position

Pump Tech Duties: Overview The Pump Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of process pumping systems in an underground hard rock mining environment. This role ensures effective water control to support safe working conditions, protect equipment and maintain continuous mining production. The Pump Technician works in compliance with all mine safety regulations, coordinates with maintenance and operations teams. Key Responsibilities and Duties Facilitate and assist in proper setup and staging of pumps. Coordinate with onsite personnel in proper wiring and hookup of any AC wiring connections for power of the pump system. Inspect and test pump system prior to operation. Control, adjust, and maintain all safety and operational functions of the pump system during operation. Working with and or monitoring hose pusher, r emotes, a ir compressor, w ater and plumbing, p ump pressures, p ump speeds, p ump temps, p roduct delivery and viscosities. Awareness and ability to identify and diagnose any potential failure in safety, mechanical, and operational functionality. Maintain and organize all pump system components during and between uses. (i.e. hoses, fittings, cords, remotes, etc.) Preform, document, and report all scheduled pump system maintenance and records per APC policy. Test and calibrate all system components on a regular basis. Identify, allocate, and order correct system parts and components as needed for inventory and replacement. Requirements

  • MSHA 5000-23 training
