About The Position

We are looking for a motivated Pump Technician Helper to support our lead technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial water pump systems. This is a hands-on, field-based position working outdoors on customer sites.
This is not an entry-level labor role; we are specifically seeking candidates with practical plumbing and electrical experience who want to grow into a Pump Technician position.

Requirements

• Hands-on plumbing experience (pipe installation, fittings, soldering preferred)
• Electrical experience (working with circuits, voltage testing, troubleshooting)
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn pump systems
• Ability to work safely with tools, equipment, and high-voltage systems
• Strong work ethic and reliability in a physically demanding environment
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and service of water well pump systems
• Work with plumbing systems (PVC, copper, PEX, ABS, steel pipe)
• Assist with electrical work up to 460 volts (single and three-phase)
• Measure voltage, amperage, resistance, and troubleshoot basic issues
• Support pump diagnostics, repair, and maintenance
• Load/unload materials, maintain tools and equipment
• Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized
• Drive service vehicles and transport materials as needed
• Complete job documentation and timekeeping accurately
• Represent the company professionally on job sites
