Position Summary We are seeking a Pump Quality Inspector to support our aftermarket repair and upgrade business in our Houston PRO Services shop located in Stafford, TX. Building on centuries of pump design experience, PRO Services provides an array of services focuses on reducing equipment total cost of ownership and increasing plant output, including condition monitoring, predictive maintenance contracts, field service, engineered upgrades, inventory management, and overhauls for pumps and other rotating equipment. The Quality Inspector assists shop with production and technical support. The Quality Inspector will support the shop by producing quotes, procuring drawings from manufacturing divisions, and providing inside sales and manufacturing support for all repair and upgrade work.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret pump drawings.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues.

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, time management, and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the job.
  • Proficient in relevant PC skills.
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience is required.
  • Practical, working experience with repair or service of pumps or other rotating equipment.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • ASQ Certified Quality INspector (CQI) or equivalent quiality inspection certification/experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct equipment inspections and document findings in detailed inspection reports in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Ensure all assigned jobs have the repair scope created within the timeframe defined by both PRO Service and customer expectations.
  • Produce drawings for parts manufacturing or repair.
  • Ensure all milestones are met.
  • Provide customer support and follow ‑ ups in conjunction with Repair Coordinators and the Sales team.
  • Recommend upgrades and support the Sales team with problem ‑ solving and solutions for customers.
  • Responsible for receiving jobs, entering, and completing all required data for entry.
  • Provide production and engineering support to the Shop.
  • Communicate daily with the Facility General Manager and Repair Coordinators on ongoing jobs and DCI scopes.
  • Follow established ISO 9001, ITT EHS, and other guidelines as required.
  • Contribute to facility goals for safety, cost savings, and quality/cost of poor quality (rework).
  • Support customer needs and hot jobs with occasional after ‑ hours and weekend response.
