Join our team and help build engineering solutions that change the industry. About The Role: SPM Oil & Gas currently has an opening for a Pump Mechanic I. The Pump Mechanic I assembles, services, maintains, evaluates, repairs, and installs reciprocating plunger pumps to include but not limited to gear boxes, power end assemblies and fluid end assemblies. Additional Information: Pay: Pay will start at $28.45/hour and can be adjusted based on experience Schedule: Tuesday through Thursday (10 days on and 4 days off) 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM with opportunity for overtime as business demands This position will require some travel in the field (5%) as needed Relocation assistance is not available for this position. What Will You Do: Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance Exhibit and always advocate exemplary safety culture Clean, strip and inspect all required components Assist during the disassemble phase Prepare for detailed inspections Ability to comprehend Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Risk Assessments Utilize measuring equipment Dismantles pumps and other equipment as directed Hauls pumps and pump parts to and from machine and test shops Troubleshoots, disassembles, and performs a detailed evaluation to determine repair needs and root cause analysis for the following: TWS 2250, QWS 2500, TWS 600 short, TWS 600 standard, QWS 1000, QEM 3000, WS 335 Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment Utilize all PPE Perform other routine duties as requested Top Candidates will have: Must be at least 21 years of age Have a clean driving record, which means: No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months. No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years. One to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment Experience as a pump mechanic Physical Demands: Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department Work Environment: Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration Noise Level: Moderate Summary Pay Range: $27.10 - $36.35 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
