Job Summary: The Pulmonologist will provide comprehensive outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and management of pulmonary conditions. This role supports long-term disease management, procedural care when desired, and collaboration with advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary teams in a well-supported clinical environment.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of Internal Medicine residency
  • Completion of Pulmonary Medicine fellowship
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine (ABIM)
  • Active DEA license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Nice To Haves

  • Sleep Medicine board certification preferred
  • Prior outpatient experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient diagnosis and management of pulmonary conditions including COPD, asthma, lung nodules, interstitial lung disease, Valley Fever, and non-tuberculosis mycobacterial (NTM) infections
  • Conduct consultations, follow-up visits, and long-term disease management
  • Interpret pulmonary diagnostic testing and related procedures
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
  • Collaborate closely with APPs, clinical staff, and multidisciplinary specialists
  • Participate in specialized programs such as pulmonary rehabilitation and weight management initiatives
  • Complete clinical documentation using AthenaOne
  • Perform bronchoscopies at affiliated hospital facilities as needed
  • Optional participation in hospital rounding; critical care responsibilities are not guaranteed and may be self-sourced
