About The Position

The Department of Pulmonology at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital is seeking a full-time Pulmonologist to join a high-volume practice. The role involves providing comprehensive care for patients with respiratory conditions, supported by a team of experienced pulmonologists and Nurse Practitioners. The physician will work across two office locations and will be involved in advanced treatments and clinical trials related to lung and airway conditions.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited program.
• Completion of Internal Medicine residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonology.
• Completion of a Pulmonology/CC fellowship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required licensure and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Managing the care of chronic respiratory diseases, such as asthma, emphysema, tuberculosis, and lung cancers.
• Coaching patients on management of their illness through lifestyle changes.
• Performing bronchoscopy procedures.
• Treating chronic lung diseases including COPD and asthma.
• Administering narcolepsy treatment and pneumonia vaccines.
• Conducting pulmonary function tests and evaluating respiratory illnesses.
• Evaluating and treating sleep apnea.
• Performing thoracentesis and managing ventilators.
• Participating in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows if interested.
