About The Position

As a Pulmonary Rehab Technician, you will observe telemetry monitors, while watching for changes in heart rhythms, record data, and alert Respiratory Therapist of changes. You will function in a team environment, providing quality care to our patients as a primary focus.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously observe heart rhythm, blood pressure and Spo2 monitors to note changes.
  • Notify charge person of changes.
  • Post rhythm strips on each patient in phase II chart.
  • Instruct patient on equipment use.
  • Provide patient education on disease processes and restorative measures for lifestyle changes.
  • Perform 6-minute walk tests.
  • Perform patient evaluation for program eligibility and assessment.
  • Plan and implement individualized treatment plans for inpatient and outpatient.
  • Conduct patient evaluation either inpatient or outpatient as needed.
  • Perform oxygen titrations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
