About The Position

Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pulmonary Nurse LVN to join our clinical team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in respiratory care and a strong commitment to providing high-quality nursing services to patients with pulmonary conditions. This role involves close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and improve respiratory health outcomes. Requirements

  • Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing (California)
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; pulmonary or respiratory care experience preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care to patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions
  • Monitor and assess patients’ respiratory status, including oxygen saturation and lung sounds
  • Administer medications, treatments, and oxygen therapy as prescribed
  • Assist with pulmonary rehabilitation and breathing treatments (e.g., nebulizers, inhalers)
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Accurately document patient care, progress, and any changes in condition
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory health, treatments, and care plans
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility policies
