Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Respiratory Therapy from an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care. Experience can serve in place of degree.
- Not less than 2 years in Respiratory Care. Certified Practitioners may be trained to deliver test.
- CPR certified or must obtain within 3 months of hire.
- Must possess skills in both Respiratory Care and delivery of Pulmonary lab tests.
- Must be able to perform PFTs.
Responsibilities
- The Pulmonary Function Technician oversees the clinical aspects of the Pulmonary Function Lab.
- The Pulmonary Lab offers the full array of pulmonary function tests by means of both direct testing and body box usage.
