Requirements
- Associate's Degree AMA approved school of respiratory care or pulmonary function technology Required
- 1 year experience in pulmonary rehabilitation and/or pulmonary function testing Required
- Cert Pulmonary Function Tech Required or Cert Respiratory Therapist Required or Reg Pulmonary Function Tech Required
- Basic Life Support Required
Nice To Haves
- General Experience in calibrating equipment, performing quality control procedures, and conducting a clinical exercise test Preferred
- Reg Respiratory Therapist Preferred
- Amer College of Sports Med. Preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs routine pulmonary function testing (Spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion capacity, airway resistance, thoracic gas volume, respiratory muscle strength).
- Performs routine exercise studies such as oxygen titration and 6-minute walks, resting energy expenditure.
- Performs set-up and teaching for Home Sleep testing.
- Trains and educates clinical staff.
