About The Position

As a Pulling and Staging Supervisor, the primary function of this position is to ensure proper flow and resource allocation for the Group 1 Pulling & Staging team on a daily basis. This position is responsible for Upholding all department standards and leading by example are critical aspects of this position, in addition to coaching, developing, and problem-solving departmental issues for their respective team members. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Operations Department at CITY Furniture.

Requirements

  • High School/GED High School Equivalent/Trade School
  • At least one (1) year of warehouse experience
  • Full-Time 40 Hours per week, Overnight Schedule, 6:30PM - 5AM
  • Four 10-hour shifts / Three days off per week
  • Includes weekends
  • 0% of Travel
  • Large non-airconditioned Distribution Center
  • Lifting up to 75 lbs, working at high heights, set-up, bending, standing, walking
  • Composite-toe shoes
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
  • Google Suite (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Operations Team Leader experience preferred.
  • WMS – High Jump (preferred but not required)
  • AS400 (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Owns problem solving projects and accountable to improve KPIs and deliver on project deadlines.
  • Requires critical thinking and extensive problem solving and has discretion to make process changes with manager approval as needed to achieve targeted goals.
  • Manages direct reports to facilitate determined countermeasures.
  • Reviews processes for internal and external defects.
  • Audits the quality of repairs in the Repair Shop.
  • Audits Receiving processes to ensure compliance of standardized work.
  • Audits DC Support functions and processes for safety, compliance, and sustainment.
  • Audits the D&I point load out process and communicates any issues with Quality Assurance.
  • Requires hands on subject matter expertise on product quality, processes that affect quality and voluntary & mandatory regulatory standards that pertain to furniture products in the City Furniture value stream.
  • Coaches and develops direct reports.
  • Conducts IDP (Individual Development Program) meetings with associates in a timely manner.
  • Delegate responsibility for projects as assigned.
