About The Position

General Shale is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Pugmill Machine Operator to support manufacturing operations at our Moncure, NC facility. This role is responsible for the operational effectiveness of the Mill Room’s pugmill and brick machine, ensuring product quality, equipment efficiency, and production targets are met.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Perform visual inspections with attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing or industrial equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operational effectiveness of the Mill Room’s pugmill and brick machine
• Configures required product tooling and directs pugmill changeovers
• Performs product quality checks at regularly assigned intervals throughout the shift
• Works with co-workers and Maintenance personnel during downtime events to achieve production targets
• Maintains workstation housekeeping and cleanliness standards
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
