About The Position

Requirements

  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in structural trades (carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, or masonry).
  • Regular Colorado Driver's License.
  • A combination of related education, formalized apprenticeship program, and/or relevant experience equal to four years.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Transportation Maintenance Worker II and III with journeyperson level work in operating and maintaining equipment.
  • Plan projects, develop cost estimates, set priorities, and evaluate work orders and projects.
  • Perform facility maintenance and construction tasks including demolition, drywall installation, and concrete work.
  • Repair guard rails, patch bridge decks, and maintain plumbing fixtures.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems and other office equipment.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting and apply paint to structures and facilities.
  • Assist groundskeeping by operating lawn equipment and maintaining landscaping.
  • Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition and perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Assist with stocking materials and loading/unloading supplies as needed.
  • Utilize technology to monitor weather conditions and report to work in emergencies.
