About The Position

The Pueblo Pre-Collegiate Program Manager is a full-time, in-person position located at Pueblo Community College (PCC) in Pueblo, Colorado. This position plays a vital role in supporting high school scholars in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, particularly those who are first-generation, low-income, and military-dependent, as they pursue their post-secondary goals. To excel in this role, the Pueblo Program Manager must be capable of taking initiative, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and effectively organizing program logistics. A key component of the job is a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and additional programs like Cobro, and Canva, which are essential for creating promotional materials, tracking and analyzing data, and maintaining clear communication channels with students, families, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates’ bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
  • Experience in program development, event planning and management, case management, data collection, tracking and analysis, program evaluation and/or youth programming that enhances transition to and retention in college is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse youth in a culturally responsive, strength-based setting is preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced collaborative environment with minimal supervision is preferred.
  • Experience in marketing and communications is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the UCCS Pre-Collegiate Program Director to create age-appropriate and culturally responsive programming topics for scholars and families.
  • Lead implementation of the programming with support from Colorado Springs Pre-Collegiate staff.
  • Ensure programming aligns with the PDCP Learning Objectives and collects reports and feedback pre/post-programming regarding the effectiveness.
  • Organize logistics for and participate in scholar and family programming, Summer Academic Institute, Bridge Program, recruitment, outreach, large scale, and alumni events.
  • Secure a variety of postsecondary, community and business resources as well as guest speakers/facilitators who can conduct activities and workshops for up to 30 high school youths.
  • Establish working relationships with a group of scholars to convey program information and activities and mentor them from the start of the program through high school graduation.
  • In collaboration with the Colorado Springs Pre-Collegiate team, develop flyers, calendars, email content, and other marketing and communications pieces to support the Pueblo Program.
  • Manage lists of scholars, including updating contact information, tracking program and event RSVPs, registrations, and attendance and ensures these are accurately entered in a database (e.g. Cobro).
  • Develop strategies, community partnerships, and relationships with Pueblo County middle school and high schools to actively recruit new scholars to PCDP.
  • Responsible for outreach efforts, including delivering presentations, distributing PCDP marketing materials, participating in community events, and maintaining active communication with schools and counselors to promote program awareness and engagement.
  • Serve as a liaison to the UCCS Admissions team and a resource for transfer students from PCC.
  • Provide on and off-site support for programming, including some evening and weekend events, virtual events, and summer programs.
  • Actively collaborate with the PCDP team to support our mission and vision during the year and during the Summer Academic Institute.
