About The Position

Requirements

  • Valid Class C California Driver's License and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned divisions of the Public Works Department.
  • Participate in departmental policy development and administrative planning.
  • Manage maintenance and repairs of City streets, fleet, and traffic infrastructure.
  • Assist with capital facilities projects and service contract management.
  • Oversee vehicle acquisition, fuel distribution, and hazardous waste disposal.
  • Provide operational leadership and day-to-day management of the Maintenance Services Division.
  • Plan, organize, and inspect the installation, maintenance, and repair of City infrastructure.
  • Review activity reports and check work in progress to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Investigate public complaints and coordinate activities with City staff and contractors.
  • Prepare budgetary recommendations and administer the budget for sections supervised.
