About The Position

Richland Township is seeking a full-time Public Works CDL Driver/Laborer to maintain and oversee the Township's physical assets, including facilities, vehicles, equipment, roads, and stormwater systems. The role involves performing semi-skilled and skilled work, particularly in winter maintenance on public roads, and requires interaction with the public and other agencies. The position is physically demanding and requires working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Basic math skills and ability to read/write in English.
• Experience operating light equipment, snowplow, forklift, and other Township equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of maintenance equipment operation.
• Ability to quickly comprehend instructions and learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on Township-owned facilities, vehicles, and equipment.
• Oversee the maintenance of roads, stormwater systems, and sanitary sewer systems.
• Manage traffic signals and road signs.
• Conduct winter maintenance on all public roads.
• Interact with the public and outside agencies as needed.
