About The Position

The Village of Ashwaubenon is accepting applications for a full-time Public Works Field Operator (40 hours/week). Ashwaubenon is a vibrant suburb of Green Bay surrounding historic Lambeau Field. While just over 18,409 residents call it home, this regional hub to shop, work, and play grows to more than 35,000 daily. While it is a football town at heart, and the Green Bay Packers are an active member of the community, a large regional shopping district, the Resch Center (sports and entertainment arena), the Resch Expo (exposition hall), a performing arts center, a competitive collegiate baseball, and soccer stadium and the Epic Event Center (concert venue), provide loads of entertainment to both locals and tourists year-round. The Field Operator is responsible for the maintenance of Village streets, facilities and infrastructure through operation of Village vehicles and equipment. Candidates with experience in the construction field or another construction background are strongly encouraged to apply, but candidates who are willing to learn skills on the job will also be considered. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in using municipal equipment and heavy equipment is preferred.
  • Valid State of Wisconsin Class B Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire.
  • Must establish permanent residence within fifteen (15) miles of incorporated boundaries of the Village of Ashwaubenon within the first (6) months after the date of employment.
  • A pre-employment application must be completed and submitted.
