About The Position

Under general direction of the Senior Utilities Engineer - Supervisor, incumbent serves in a staff and sometimes lead capacity responsible for evaluating, updating, implementing, and enforcing the operation, maintenance, performance, and safety standards of electric generation and energy storage systems, and electric infrastructure. Incumbent conducts policy and complex research and analysis of power generating and storage, electric, and communication facilities in California. This is a hybrid position that will require the selected candidate to report to their assigned headquarter office a minimum of two (2) days a week. Hybrid positions may be eligible for telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. Nice To Haves

  • Experience in conducting policy and complex research analysis of power generating & storage, electric communication facilities in California.
  • Experience in a lead capacity responsible for evaluating, updating, implementing, and enforcing the operation, maintenance, performance, and safety standards of electric generation and storage, electric transmission and distribution infrastructure, and communication infrastructure.
  • Experience with the safety and reliability of electric generation, distribution, and transmission facilities, and communication facilities.
  • Knowledge of utility electric, communication infrastructure, and generating facilities.
  • Knowledge of the state legislative or CPUC proceeding processes.
