  • Operates a multi-line phone system and routes calls.
  • Processes work orders and monitors city control systems including SCADA and OMS.
  • Performs general clerical duties such as answering calls and maintaining files.
  • Operates a radio console to communicate with field personnel.
  • Evaluates requests for public utilities services and collects information from callers.
  • Enters locates into Texas 811 and work orders into Asset Essentials database.
  • Generates weekly reports of open work orders for Public Utility Directors.
  • Maintains office files and scans documents to an electronic file system.
  • Monitors and manages the Outage Management System and reports outages.
  • Operates Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and reports alarms.
  • Notifies Police and Fire Departments of road closures due to construction.
  • Prepares daily work schedules for Public Utilities.
  • Responds to after-hour events such as storms as needed.
  • High school graduation or equivalent education.
  • One or more years of related experience or training.
  • Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
  • Ability to operate a multi-line phone system and computers including word processing and Excel.
  • Experience in a dispatch role or public utilities environment.
  • Familiarity with SCADA and OMS systems.
  • Competitive hourly wage between $15.00 and $18.00 per hour.
  • Potential for overtime pay.
