Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Communications, English, or related field required; Master’s preferred
At least two years of secondary teaching experience preferred
Strong classroom management, instructional, and communication skills
Proficiency with instructional technology and learning management systems
Commitment to student success, collaboration, and the school’s mission

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, Missouri Learning Standards-aligned instruction in public speaking and oral communication
Teach speech preparation, organization, delivery, and persuasive techniques
Foster a supportive classroom environment that builds student confidence
Design and assess a variety of presentations and speeches
Provide constructive feedback and differentiate instruction for diverse learners
Integrate technology to enhance student presentations
Maintain accurate student records and uphold classroom expectations
Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with families
Participate in professional development and school activities
Model professional communication aligned with the school’s mission
