Job SummaryCardinal Ritter College Prep, a St. Louis Archdiocesan coeducational college preparatory high school for grades 9-12, seeks a Public Speaking Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Communications, English, or related field required; Master’s preferred
  • At least two years of secondary teaching experience preferred
  • Strong classroom management, instructional, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with instructional technology and learning management systems
  • Commitment to student success, collaboration, and the school’s mission

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, Missouri Learning Standards-aligned instruction in public speaking and oral communication
  • Teach speech preparation, organization, delivery, and persuasive techniques
  • Foster a supportive classroom environment that builds student confidence
  • Design and assess a variety of presentations and speeches
  • Provide constructive feedback and differentiate instruction for diverse learners
  • Integrate technology to enhance student presentations
  • Maintain accurate student records and uphold classroom expectations
  • Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with families
  • Participate in professional development and school activities
  • Model professional communication aligned with the school’s mission
