About The Position
The Public Space Attendant at The Vanguard Hotel in Ann Arbor, MI plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and welcoming atmosphere of all public areas within the hotel. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, or public space maintenance roles preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Basic communication skills to interact courteously with guests and team members.
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and safe handling procedures.

- Ability to identify and report maintenance issues effectively.

Responsibilities
- Perform regular cleaning and sanitization of all public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and meeting rooms to ensure a spotless environment.
- Monitor and replenish supplies such as hand towels, soaps, and other amenities in public restrooms and common areas.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages observed in public spaces to the appropriate department promptly.
- Assist guests by providing directions or information about hotel facilities and services when needed.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to coordinate efforts that enhance the overall guest experience.
