The Office of Public Scholarship supports WashU scholars by helping to identify public audiences and increase the impact of research and creative work. Our team works one-on-one with WashU scholars, runs workshops and seminars on communicating with general audiences, and holds events and hosts visits by renowned public scholars. This position will provide vital project, planning, and operational coordination in a fast-paced environment with the Office of Public Scholarship. This may include assisting with prospect management; planning meetings with the Office staff; preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations; developing and managing budgets; managing, manipulating, and formatting data and spreadsheets; event and travel facilitation; managing complex calendars; participating in preparation of grant proposals; and other operational tasks as assigned. We value superior attention to detail, outstanding oral and written communication, advanced computer skills, capacity to work well under deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously, and the ability to handle confidential information and situations with sensitivity and discretion.
