About The Position
The Public Safety Transporter maintains, safely operates a shuttle vehicle to provide timely transportation for colleagues that park at an off-campus location and need transportation to and from the hospital.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with Passenger Endorsement
- Medical Certification Card as required by the Department of Transportation.
- One (1) year of relevant experience required.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Provides highly professional, customer service focused assistance to the HHC Community specifically colleagues that use the hospital transportation service.
- Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, effectively communication information.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude in support of the organization’s mission, vision and values.
- Focused on providing an exceptional experience to our patients, customers, staff, organizations, and internal and external partners.
- Ability to analyze and solve a variety of difficult situations, problem events, emergencies.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle tasks independently.
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating public service or transportation vehicles or buses preferred.
