About The Position

Provide protection of Cahuilla Casino property, assets, team members and guest against losses or danger, by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Patrols, on a scheduled basis, buildings, parking areas, and grounds of the Casino. Warns violators in the above areas of rule infractions, such as loitering and disruptive conduct; apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts; reports these activities to the Supervisor/Manager on Duty. Provides escort for certain transactions. Watches for and reports irregularities, such as unlocked doors, safety hazards, etc. Prepares incident reports involving property damage, unusual occurrences, accidents or injuries, for the use of supervisory staff. Assists and observes Slot department and Cash Operation personnel in making and recording payouts on gaming devices. All other duties assigned by DPS Management

Requirements

  • Must have working experience as a DPS/Security Officer
  • Must have a valid Guard Card
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Candidates must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory.
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to speak read and write English.
  • Understand documents such as safety rules, instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to prepare and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals or groups.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide multi-digit numbers using all denominations of American money.
  • Ability to calculate and record time in standard, military and decimal formats.
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Must be able to complete the 90 day Introductory Period in consecutive days as scheduled.
  • California State Drivers License
  • Cahuilla Tribal Gaming Agency License
  • California Department of Consumers Affairs, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services Guard Registration Card.
  • Must have valid current Guard Card.
  • Team Member is regularly required to hear and speak while communicating with employees and customers.
  • Team Member is regularly required to walk, stand and use hands and arms while patrolling, securing, assisting in securing property, cash transfers, payouts, etc.
  • Team Member must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds while transferring cash.
  • Specific vision requirements include distance vision, ability to adjust and focus and peripheral vision.
