Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm under pressure with sound judgment in emergencies
- Service-focused, reliable, and team-oriented
- Motivated to grow in public safety and healthcare security
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of relevant work experience.
- Valid Class A, B or C Texas driver's license.
- Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
Nice To Haves
- International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) certification
Responsibilities
- Provide information, directions, and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff
- Patrol campus by vehicle and on foot; monitor for suspicious activity and safety hazards
- Enforce institutional and parking regulations; issue permits and citations as needed
- Serve as a Campus Security Authority in compliance with the Clery Act
