Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Calm under pressure with sound judgment in emergencies
  • Service-focused, reliable, and team-oriented
  • Motivated to grow in public safety and healthcare security
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of relevant work experience.
  • Valid Class A, B or C Texas driver's license.
  • Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.

Nice To Haves

  • International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide information, directions, and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff
  • Patrol campus by vehicle and on foot; monitor for suspicious activity and safety hazards
  • Enforce institutional and parking regulations; issue permits and citations as needed
  • Serve as a Campus Security Authority in compliance with the Clery Act
