POSITION SUMMARY: Perform a variety of security and safety related functions while involved in the safeguarding of employees, patients, visitors, physicians, and property.

Requirements

• Must be a high school graduate as evidenced by a diploma or GED equivalency certificate.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, maintain a driving record free of any violations and pass a safe driving educational program upon hire and annually thereafter in order to participate in the Fleet Vehicle Program as outlined in the Eastern Connecticut Health Network’s Environment of Care Safety Policies and Procedures #110.
• Must possess a current Connecticut Security Officer Identification Card or obtain it within six (6) months of hire.
• Must obtain CPI conflict resolution training within six (6) months of hire.
• A minimum of two (2) years of previous security or security-related experience, such as law enforcement, or military service is required.
• Must be able to proficiently read, speak, and write in English in order to effectively communicate on a daily basis with staff, patients, and visitors.
