The Public Safety Officer is responsible for protecting life and property while overseeing the physical security of the facility. This role involves actively patrolling the greater campus area both on foot and by vehicle, ensuring a safe environment for all. The officer will detect and report any violations of local, State, and Federal law, as well as any breaches of health system policy in a timely manner. Additionally, the officer will monitor compliance with parking control policies and ensure that other officers adhere to Health System and Department policies, providing coaching and corrective action as necessary. The position also includes overseeing activities related to deceased persons, managing lost & found operations, and responding to crisis intervention situations. Light clerical duties may also be required, along with other assigned tasks.
