About The Position
This position is located in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, in the Division of Resource and Visitor Protection. The incumbent performs emergency and non-emergency dispatch and call-taking services for public safety-related incidents and operations in an emergency communications center serving a large National Park. Duties include monitoring and tracking equipment and personnel, operating a multi-frequency radio console, utilizing law enforcement databases, and providing general public assistance. The position is part-time, requiring 30 hours per week, and is permanent with promotion potential up to GS-08.
