About The Position

The Public Safety Corporal assists in ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors. This role involves responding to incidents and supporting the implementation of safety protocols and emergency procedures. The Public Safety Corporal plays a key role in maintaining a secure environment and acts as a liaison between security staff and the Sergeant.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in public safety or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with no more than 5 current points.
• Successful completion of post-hire entry training course, including CPR, Stop the Bleed, Narcan, and de-escalation.
• Possession of Maryland Security Guard license or must file for license within the first 2 weeks of employment.
• Obtain Security Guard license within first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Additional training or education in criminal justice, public safety, or a related field is preferred.
• Certification in healthcare security (e.g., Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA), Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO)) or other relevant security certifications is highly desirable.
