About The Position
Be a part of a world-class academic health-care system at UChicago Medicine as a Public Safety Coordinator in the Security Department. The Public Safety Coordinator (PSC) provides unarmed uniformed safety, security and customer centered services to all patients, visitors, and staff of the Medical Center. Primary responsibilities include; greeting visitors and managing the issuance/collection of visitor badges at main entry points, validating visitor identification, providing directions and assistance, conducting foot patrols of buildings and grounds to deter crime, prevent loss and promote a safe environment, assisting Public Safety Officers (PSO) in response to security related incidents and emergencies, documenting incidents and events, performing special security detail, and maintaining compliance with security policies and procedures.
