Work activities in this position primarily involve providing information to the public; prevention of unsafe conditions and the assurance that park visitors adhere to rules and regulations. The list below is intended to describe the general nature of duties only. Employee shall perform other duties as assigned. Work primarily with the Police Department and assist the Park Operations Department. Directs traffic and enforces parking and traffic regulations on park property. Answers questions and gives directions to park visitors. Advises park visitors of the park rules and regulations relating to park usage. Assigns and checks park visitor and user permits. Patrols sledding and toboggan hills and other winter sports areas as assigned. Patrols hike/bike trails using bicycle and/or motorized vehicle such as moped, scooter, etc. Renders first aid and summons medical help when necessary. Protects public from emergency hazards. Assists in the maintenance of area assigned.
