About The Position

The Public Relations Specialist at Rosen Hotels & Resorts plays a crucial role in supporting all public relations activities for the company and its subsidiaries. This position focuses on storytelling and content creation across various media platforms to enhance brand awareness and appreciation. The specialist will build relationships with media and influential contacts, develop creative media coverage strategies, and work closely with senior leadership to align PR strategies with business goals.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in public relations or corporate communications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with AP style is recommended.
  • Proficient computer skills including project tracking, document processing, and presentation software.
  • Experience with media tracking software like Muck Rack, Meltwater, Cision, and TV Eyes is a plus.
  • Hospitality experience preferred.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.

  • Experience in hospitality industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build effective relationships with news media, business partners, senior leaders, and PR counterparts.
  • Create and co-author news releases, company announcements, social media content, and other PR materials.
  • Identify and produce content that highlights company leaders.
  • Develop story ideas and pitch them to local, regional, and national media.
  • Manage changing work priorities in a deadline-oriented environment, including flexible availability for morning, evening, and weekend work.
  • Identify new technologies and trends to advance communication efforts.
  • Use independent judgment and analytical skills to solve problems.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and staff as part of a team.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for media requests on behalf of various Rosen entities.
  • Create PR strategies that align with the company's business goals and increase brand awareness.
  • Assist with content for websites, magazines, social media, and internal communications.
  • Work with HR on internal communication campaigns and community relations initiatives.
