About The Position

Qualcomm Technologies is seeking a tech-savvy, detail-oriented and self-motivated communications professional to support the Product Communications team in a broad range of product storytelling efforts. This role is for someone eager to learn, build foundational experience, and develop a strong understanding of product communications in a dynamic environment. You will be immersed in technology communications as Qualcomm drives innovation and continues to push the boundaries across industries. This is an office-based position located in San Diego, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of Public Relations or related work experience.
  • OR
  • Associate's degree and 3+ years of Public Relations or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year (Master’s = one year) of work experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate materials.
  • Experience drafting communications materials including press notes, briefing materials, pitches for media, and more.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day product communications activities across marketing efforts and key launch moments.
  • Develop and coordinate approvals of communication assets– including press notes, pitches, briefing materials, messaging and FAQ documents and internal trackers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with North America press, analysts, and creators.
  • Support media relations efforts, including managing media lists, tracking outreach and coverage, monitoring inbound media inquiries, recommending responses and engaging with reporters on behalf of the company.
  • Manage logistics and execution of launch content including visual assets working with product marketing, production and executive teams.
  • Provide event support by coordinating event logistics.
  • Track key news moments, market updates and industry developments, to identify trends and opportunities for the company to engage with a news cycle and potential issues, ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed in a timely manner.
  • Work with the company’s influencer and analyst relations teams to strategize and brainstorm new ideas.
  • Manage communications workstreams across multiple projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, approvals, and dependencies are clearly tracked and met.
  • Help manage the PR agency on work such as reporting, deliverables, media lists, project management, contracting, etc.
  • Maintain high standards for accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail across all written materials and communications outputs.
  • Demonstrate strong self-management, prioritization, and follow-through in a dynamic environment with competing deadlines.
  • Maintain a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration across marketing and communications teams and with agency team members.
