About The Position

As Public Relations Manager, you will be the voice, face, and storyteller behind DOCOMO PACIFIC. This involves leading our public relations strategy and shaping how our brand is seen, heard, and trusted across Guam, the CNMI, and beyond. This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives on connection, enjoys being front-and-center, and is energized by building meaningful relationships with the community. You will own and drive DOCOMO PACIFIC’s PR strategy, setting the direction for how we engage with media, community partners, regulators, and the public during everyday moments and critical milestones. Your leadership will help strengthen our reputation, elevate our brand presence, and ensure our messages align with our purpose, values, and long-term business goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media.
  • Proven experience in crisis management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong media relations experience with the ability to secure meaningful coverage.
  • Digital fluency across social media platforms and PR analytics tools.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to island communities and diverse audiences.
  • A collaborative leadership style that works well across Marketing, HR, Operations, and Executive teams.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to balance transparency with confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the telecom industry, regulatory environment, and customer dynamics is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead DOCOMO PACIFIC’s public voice and storytelling, serving as a primary spokesperson and representing the company across media, community events, and public forums.
  • Develop and execute strategic public relations plans that support business goals, reflect telecom industry trends, and ensure consistent, clear messaging across all internal and external channels.
  • Build, manage, and protect the company’s reputation by cultivating strong media relationships, drafting press materials and official statements, monitoring public sentiment, and leading crisis communications during service outages, regulatory matters, or reputational risks.
  • Oversee digital and social media communications, ensuring timely, engaging, and brand-aligned content while monitoring online conversations and using analytics to measure effectiveness.
  • Strengthen community and stakeholder relationships by leading corporate social responsibility initiatives, coordinating sponsorships and public campaigns, and engaging with regulators, government agencies, and community leaders.
  • Support internal and executive communications, partnering with HR and leadership to keep employees informed, aligned, and engaged, and assisting with speeches, presentations, and company-wide updates.
