The Public Relations & Content Specialist plays a vital role as a part of Openlands’ External Affairs function, bringing stories of land, conservation, and community impact to life. This position works closely across teams, from program staff to development and leadership, to create and share compelling narratives grounded in Openlands’ mission. This role manages relationships with press, influencers, and community storytellers, ensuring Openlands’ messages reach diverse audiences throughout the region. The Specialist provides guidance and support to staff for media opportunities, including organization-wide and one-on-one media training, while also leading outreach to traditional journalists and digital creators. With a focus on collaboration, creativity, and responsiveness, this position strengthens Openlands’ brand presence and inspires public engagement with conservation. This is a full-time, non-exempt, hybrid position. This role reports directly to the Assistant Director of Communications.
