About The Position

The Public Relations Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the public relations team by managing communication strategies that promote a positive image of the organization. This position involves assisting with media relations, crafting content, coordinating events, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to enhance the organization's brand reputation.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools and social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain media lists and databases.
  • Assist in drafting press releases, media kits, and pitches for distribution.
  • Track media coverage and prepare reports summarizing results.
  • Provide logistical support for press conferences, media events, and other public-facing initiatives.
  • Coordinate invitations, RSVPs, and event materials.
  • Assist with on-site event management as needed.
  • Respond to public inquiries, media requests, and general communication needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align messaging and goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with influencers, journalists, and media outlets.
  • Schedule meetings and maintain communication calendars.
  • Prepare presentations and briefing documents for PR initiatives.
  • Organize and manage PR-related documentation and records.
