About The Position

Requirements

  • A master's degree or higher in the relevant fields and one year of experience in public or governmental relations, and/or in writing or producing content for various media.
  • Six years of experience in public or governmental relations, and/or in writing or producing content for various media.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with digital marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools.
  • Knowledge of public affairs and community outreach strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with arranging press conferences, seminars, public hearings, and other informational gatherings.
  • Draft press releases, advisories, and email marketing communications for the Office of Cannabis Management.
  • Answer inquiries from the public and news media regarding the Office's programs.
  • Draft and post content on social media channels for the Office of Cannabis Management.
  • Monitor the agency's social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Prepare displays, speeches, or presentations for conferences, seminars, and training sessions.
  • Participate in strategic communications planning initiatives that incorporate traditional and digital communications channels.
  • Help develop, manage, and execute public affairs campaigns in collaboration with various teams.
  • Manage and support workstreams for multiple projects, setting priorities and timelines.
  • Develop content, including press releases and narratives for digital platforms, to support community outreach and public education campaigns.
