The Orange County Health Department is accepting applications for a Public Health Nurse. The work involves the responsibility for providing professional social work services for the Care Management for At-Risk Children (CMARC) program with the Orange County Health Department. An employee of this class is primarily responsible for providing assessment, intervention, client education and high level comprehensive and intensive care management services to a limited caseload of eligible at-risk pregnant women and high-risk children (ages 0-5 years) with complicated personal, psycho-social, medical, developmental and economic needs. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Home Visiting Services Supervisor with some leeway to exercise independent judgment within the framework of applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures in the performance of duties, both in terms of planning and accomplishing work and making decisions about public health needs and requests. Supervision is not a responsibility of this class. Does related work as required.
