About The Position
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Public Health Nurse I to provide nursing services to individuals, families, and population groups statewide. This full-time position is based out of regional State offices, with the option to leave directly from your residence depending on your day's scheduled work. The role allows for telework and requires daily travel within the assigned district. The Public Health Nurse I will provide care to new or expecting parents, older adults, individuals diagnosed with tuberculosis or latent tuberculosis, and community groups. Responsibilities include care planning and management, conducting home and field visits, supporting clinics and conferences, and advising civic groups on nursing and public health needs. Work is performed under limited supervision, generally Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with travel reimbursement provided.
