About The Position
The Public Health Microbiologist (PHM) Trainee position is a part-time, temporary role under the supervision of the Public Health Laboratory Director and Supervising Public Health Microbiologist. The trainee will learn to perform various technical laboratory examinations to detect and identify microbial disease agents, supporting public health and communicable disease control. The role includes participation in a training program covering microbiology, virology, and diagnostic immunology, with the potential for promotion upon successful completion of training and certification.
