About The Position

This position is responsible for completing and supporting functions in the Public Funds Department, along with various accounting functions related to reconciliation and balancing of different types of accounts and ledgers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of related experience and/or accounting experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with banking center and bank operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Good knowledge of accounting
  • General knowledge of compliance and regulation procedures
  • Well organized.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain an effective and efficient workflow.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and related business equipment.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Have a positive, professional and courteous interaction with associates when necessary.
  • Be able to manage multiple projects/duties with accuracy and minimal supervision.
  • Display a positive team working attitude with associates in all departments.
  • Complete duties by pre-established deadlines when necessary.
  • Must be able to interface with executive management

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of Public Funds including bid and extension preparation, rate changes, monitoring of accurate system codes and reporting to executive management
  • Tracking and monitoring of bid and extension maturity dates and communicating maturity dates to banking centers
  • Assist in ensuring department procedures are kept up to date and accurately reflect current processes
  • Public Fund Support to banking centers and other back office departments
  • Perform verification and reconciliation of accounts, bank ledger accounts
  • Process, verify and reconcile input documentation
  • Maintain appropriate files, reports, documentation and data
  • Maintain regular contacts with internal and external vendors
  • Process garnishments for the State of Oklahoma and State of Texas, working with internal and external legal counsel
  • Ensure follow-up action as and when necessary
  • Adhere to corporate standards and procedures in reconciliation clerical activities
  • Understand incoming wire payments
  • Answer incoming calls
  • Other duties as assigned
