Public Cloud Platform Owner

Bluebeam is looking for a Public Cloud Platform Owner to lead its AWS strategy, architecture, and operations. This role involves consolidating systems, integrating newly acquired companies, and scaling a growing portfolio of cloud-native products. It is a senior, high-impact role reporting to the Director of Technology Platforms & Architecture, partnering closely with Security, Networking, Finance, and Product Engineering to design and run a secure, reliable, and cost-effective global cloud platform.
Requirements
- Significant experience owning or leading large-scale AWS environments in a multi-product SaaS or enterprise setting.
- Strong background in cloud architecture (networking, security, compute, storage, data services) and hybrid connectivity patterns.
- Proven track record building or maturing platform, reliability, and operational processes in fast-growing organizations.
- Close collaboration history with Security, Networking, Finance, and Product/Engineering leadership.
- Experience managing cloud spend at scale, with strong cost-optimization and tagging/reporting practices.
- Demonstrated leadership of high-performing, distributed engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve a multi-year AWS infrastructure roadmap aligned with company strategy, including M&A integrations and platform consolidation.
- Define standards for account structure, networking, compute, storage, and data services that balance enterprise consistency with product team autonomy.
- Co-design and operate global network connectivity between on-prem, co-los, AWS regions, and edge locations (Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPC, inter-region routing, DNS/CDN).
- Build and mature incident, change, and capacity management processes; collaborate on global monitoring and reliability practices.
- Embed security into infrastructure and CI/CD – IAM governance, segmentation, encryption, logging, compliance automation – in close partnership with InfoSec/SecOps.
- Partner with engineering leadership on shared platforms, service catalogs, approved patterns, and APIs that accelerate developer productivity while maintaining guardrails.
- Own AWS financial management: forecasting, reserved capacity/savings plans, tagging strategy, and unit economics reporting by product line.
- Lead and grow a distributed team of cloud, platform, and SRE engineers; foster a culture of continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and knowledge sharing.
