About The Position

The position involves establishing a pleasant rapport with internal and external guests, ensuring adherence to PLCB and RG standards, and maintaining thorough knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Responsibilities include mixing and serving beverages directly to patrons and to servers, accurately using the POS system, tracking inventory, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with health standards. The role requires restocking for the next shift and maintaining a well-groomed appearance. Teamwork with servers, barbacks, and other personnel is essential for efficient operations. Additionally, tips must be declared through the time and attendance system at the end of each shift.

Requirements

  • Must have high School Diploma/GED.
  • Six months or less of Bartender experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from guests.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions (i.e., written, verbal, etc.).
  • Basic computer knowledge; ability to operate POS systems.
  • Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet any credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
  • Must be able to obtain proper food handler certification and RAMP certification.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes a pleasant rapport with internal and external guests.
  • Responsible for knowledge of and strict adherence to PLCB and RG standards.
  • Responsible for thorough knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and their proper preparation.
  • Mixes and serves beverages directly to bar patrons and in a service station capacity to beverage/food servers.
  • Accurately and efficiently uses POS system.
  • Tracks usage and inventory and orders stock to maintain established pars.
  • Maintains awareness of guest alcohol intake following RAMP guidelines.
  • Keeps work area neat and clean in accordance with all PA Department of Health standards.
  • Restocks station for start of next shift at end of shift.
  • Maintains well-groomed appearance in accordance with Food & Beverage Grooming Standards.
  • Participates as a team member with all servers, barbacks, and any other casino personnel.
  • Declares tips through time and attendance system at the end of each shift.
