About The Position

The Utility Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and service in assigned public areas, ensuring a safe and attractive environment for guests. This role involves various cleaning tasks, including the use of specialized equipment and chemicals, while adhering to safety standards set by management.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in both written and verbal form.
• Ability to work safely and follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work with cleaning products, chemicals, and solvents using provided safety equipment.
• Able to perform assigned duties both indoors and outdoors.
• Understand cleaning and disposing of biohazards.
• At least 21 years of age or older.
• Able to effectively communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Practice, support, and promote the Company Service Standards.
• Maintain a clean environment at all times.
• Shampoo carpets as required.
• Clean both high and low areas, including the use of a ladder.
• Address and clean hazards, windows, and perform upper and lower dusting.
• Conduct detailed cleaning of public areas.
• Perform maintenance in offices, windows, carpets, restrooms, and general maintenance tasks.
• Engage in heavy cleaning tasks such as floor buffing, polishing, window washing, and carpet shampooing.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as necessary.
• Maintain marble surfaces and prepare cleaning solutions following safety procedures as prescribed by OSHA.
• Utilize cleaning chemicals and mixtures safely and effectively.
• Operate equipment such as extractors, wet vacuums, steamers, and shampooers as assigned.
