About The Position
The Public Area Supervisor at Flamingo Paradise LLC is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Public Area department within the casino environment. This role involves assigning daily cleaning duties to team members, ensuring that all public and team member areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness. The supervisor will conduct regular inspections of the casino and public areas, addressing any cleanliness issues promptly and efficiently. Additionally, the supervisor will manage inventory and order necessary cleaning supplies to support the Public Area team’s operations. In this position, the supervisor will also carry a radio to respond to requests from various departments, demonstrating strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The role requires the supervisor to lead by example, performing the duties of a Casino Porter when necessary, and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions with guests, team members, and vendors. Knowledge of commercial cleaning chemicals and safety regulations is essential, as is the ability to understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). The Public Area Supervisor will maintain open lines of communication with the Executive Housekeeper, Chief Engineer, and Security management to ensure a cohesive working environment. This position also involves supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training employees, and managing performance appraisals. The supervisor must be adept at addressing complaints and resolving issues to ensure that all guests receive the best possible experience during their visit.
